A child can see a shortcoming of a parent
A student catches his master's mistake
A drop of maturity to see faults in others
An infant to announce an expectation and declare a standard
Only demonstrated perfection can do both righteously
He who has done this recognizes the way
and has compassion
I wrote this today after reflecting on some basic truths that I've learned throughout the week through an unexpected mix of nearly unrelated sources.
I like it well enough.
It has three examples to make a point that revolves around one main truth and a number of declarations about things that are universal to the point of being near obvious truths. Also, it contains what seems to me at first to be a week's worth of wisdom, but what -- in actuality -- draws from all my personality and experience.
