XBOX

I have an XBOX.

Finally, after patiently waiting for one for so long -- praying for one even -- I have an XBOX. The best part about it was that I didn't have to pay for it.
With a tremendous effort from Joy and the love and cooperation from a number of my friends I won an XBOX and XBOX Music Mixer.
Now, if I only had some money for games, controllers and such...

Woah, you won one? Very cool, what contest?

Also, if you can drop off the dvd at my office, that's the easiest thing probably. You can either leave it in my box or give it to Lin, maybe.

Yeah, I won one. It was a contest sponsored by the company that I am working for this summer.

The District Sales Manager guy, Kian, wanted us to bring as many friends as we could to these meetings that are held to educate people about the company and what they could do during their summer with the company. The rules of the contest were that we had two days with two meetings each day in which to bring as many friends to hear the schpiel as possible. Whoever had the most people show up in their name won the XBOX and an extra controller -- as long as they brought at least four people.

My manager told me that Kian had run this contest at the other schools in his area -- UCF, FSU, USF, FIU, and other FL schools. No one had managed to bring out more than four people yet though, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

I brought out five friends the first day, Thursday -- Megan, Jenn, Lana, Nate, Mike (and Joy, but she didn't get to count toward my total because I brought her to some other thing.)

I didn't see any other people at the meeting really so I thought I probably was going to win this thing, but someone else brought out five people to the second meeting that day. I found this out at 10AM on Friday when I was in Fort Myers.

So, I tried to get more people to go to the one on Friday. Joy did too. In all we got seven more friends to attend this thing, and I won the XBOX handedly. The other guy only managed to bring one last person out Friday. So, I won 12 to 6 to a bunch of sub-4 numbers.

I now have an XBOX.
